Recently, Iola, Bitdefender and few security companies have generously offered internet users FREE licenses for using their antivirus.
So here's another chance for you to have 1 whole year FREE license of an antivirus, not from those security companies I used to review, but from Computer Associate (CA). Frankly, CA antivirus is something new to me, never of heard of it before. So instead of only giving out the promotional link, I will include my review on this new antivirus as well (It seems I got plenty of time since I manage to uninstall AVG and get Computer Associate Antivirus installed :evil:).
Review
Ok here's a quick review from me. The file size is roughly 9MB and the installation is pretty quick in comparison to other antivirus. Memory wise, it's way much better because it uses less than half memory used by AVG. By referring to the screenshot above, obviously it doesn't have browser addon etc, that explains why it consumes small chunk of memory. Personally this is an ideal antivirus; I don't bother to have any additional stuffs on board that can freeze up my favorite browser and computer activities.
In term of protection, it's too early to say, since it's only running for few hours. I will keep you posted on how it measures up.
