How to disable Auto Sleep mode in Windows 7

Auto Sleep mode in Windows 7 is a great feature that can put your PC into some sort of hibernate mode (less power consumption) and you can resume almost instantly from the point you stop. This feature comes handy to those who are away from their computers and leave them idle for quite some time. Unfortunately, this feature is a nuisance to some of us who need the PCs not to be in the sleep mode. By default the Auto Sleep mode in Windows 7 is set to be on after 10 minutes.

How to disable Auto Sleep mode in Windows 7?

1. Type in “power option” in the search box from start menu button. Select “Power Options”

2. Power Options windows will popup. Select “Change Plan Settings”.

3. From there you can easily customize when you are going to set the monitor to be off as well as the computer sleep option. I just simply set to “never”. Don’t forget to save your changes.
