If your iPhone is already jailbroken, Cydia will automatically save the SHSH blobs on its own server. But don’t take things for granted, nobody knows what’s gonna happen. To be on the safe side, it is better to save the SHSH Blob into our own PC. TinyUmbrella is a tool that requests SHSH signatures for firmware restores and plays back those signatures enabling iTunes to continue the restore.

How to use TinyUmbrella to Save iOS 4.1 SHSH Blobs?

1. Download TinyUmbrella [Mac] [Windows].

2. Connect your iDevice to your computer. Close the iTunes if it is automatically opened.

3. Open TinyUmbrella.

4. Your device should show up on the left pane under “Connected Devices“.

5. Click on your device and hit “Save SSH” button. Now TinyUmbrella will save your SHSH.

6. Once your SHSH is saved, it will show up in the Saved SHSHs box.
