Disk Clean Up after installing Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)

I’ve covered about updating Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 (SP1) through direct download or through Windows Update and you should already SP1 installed on your PC by now. As you know, Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) is quite big in size (600MB+) and once it has successfully installed, it could take up almost 600MB to 1 GB of space for backup purpose. If you have a small hard drive you may want to consider to free up the space dedicated to Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1). Here’s the step by step guides.

1. Open “My Computer”, right click C drive and select properties.

2. Check on “Service Pack Backup Files”, click OK and click on the “Delete Files” when prompted for confirmation.

That’s all you need to do.
